Installation

拆 (chãi) is a sequel to Neon Crisis, discussing the dying culture of bamboo scaffolding in Hong Kong. As the last place still using this technique, bamboo scaffolding is a cultural symbol of the city.

Constructed with bamboo and secured with nylon ropes, this piece embodies the idea that the impermanence of scaffolding reflects how culture can be easily lost through modernization.
